Now, we’re looking for a Data Engineer to help shape the next generation of data at Attensi.

About the Role

Data and AI will be core to Attensi’s long-term success.

We’re building a next-generation Data Platform to power real-time analytics, data products, visualizations, and AI use cases across our product suite. This platform will help us better understand how people learn, how simulations drive behavior change, and how our customers can use data to improve training outcomes across large organizations.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving this platform. You’ll work on scalable data pipelines, streaming and batch processing, data models, platform tooling, and the infrastructure needed to make high-quality data available across Attensi.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone with a solid Data Engineering foundation who wants to grow technically, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to the direction of a modern data platform.

What You Will Do

Based in Oslo, you’ll join our Platform and Tech team, working closely with developers across Platform, Product, AI, and customer-facing teams.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain Attensi’s Data Platform and the data products that power analytics, visualization, and AI use cases

• Build and improve streaming and batch data pipelines for product events, learning analytics, and customer-facing insights

• Help drive the performance, reliability, observability, and scalability of our data infrastructure

• Work with real-time data to support analytics across Attensi’s product suite

• Contribute to data models, transformations, and platform tooling that make data easier to use across the organization

• Collaborate with experienced engineers and product teams to turn data into value for our customers

• Help shape technical decisions as the platform evolves

Who You Are

You have experience as a Data Engineer and enjoy building systems that make data reliable, accessible, and useful.

You combine a pragmatic engineering mindset with curiosity and ambition. You like solving real problems, learning new technologies, and working with others to create solutions that scale.

You’ll likely have a good foundation in Data Engineering fundamentals, such as data pipelines, distributed systems, data modeling, orchestration, cloud infrastructure, or analytics platforms.

Experience with streaming pipelines is especially relevant for this role, and we’d definitely like to hear from you if you’ve worked with real-time data before.

We don’t expect you to have experience with every technology in our stack. A solid foundation, good engineering instincts, and a desire to learn matter more to us than ticking every box.

Day to day, we work with:

• Kafka, Flink, and ClickHouse for streaming and real-time analytics

• Spark and AWS Glue for batch processing

• Python, Terraform, and Kubernetes on AWS

Bonus Points If You Have Experience With

• LLM applications, agents, or data products that support AI use cases, for example LangChain

• API development and services, for example GraphQL, Hasura, or FastAPI

• OLAP, analytics engineering, or data warehousing, for example Snowflake or BigQuery

• Observability, data quality, or platform reliability in modern data systems
