Attensi is growing at rocket speed, and with our additional funding we are taking our commercial team to new heights. Now, we’re looking for a motivated, ambitious and hands-on BDR Team Lead to help establish and scale our outbound business development practice in the US.
This is a unique opportunity to be one of the first dedicated BDR hires in Boston, helping us replicate the success of our BDR strategy in London and Oslo while adapting it for the North American market.
The key focus of this role is to build a strong, repeatable BDR practice in the US market. In the beginning, you will be very hands-on: researching accounts, prospecting outbound opportunities, testing messaging, booking meetings and learning what works. As the function grows, you will help recruit, onboard and develop a team around the playbook you have helped prove.
You’ll be part of our energetic commercial team, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations and Enablement to create quality pipeline and support our commercial ambitions across North America.
This position reports to the Sales Leader in the US, which is currently being filled by the CEO North America himself, Krister Kristiansen and will work closely with the global BDR leadership and wider go-to-market teams to scale proven processes, strengthen outbound execution and ensure new hires ramp quickly and effectively.
What will you do?
Establish a strong outbound BDR practice for Attensi in the US market, building on the proven approach already working in London.
Take a hands-on role in outbound prospecting, including account research, personalised outreach, calling, sequencing and booking qualified discovery meetings.
Test and refine messaging, targeting and outreach approaches to understand what resonates with US prospects across key industries.
Build quality pipeline by identifying and engaging target accounts, personas and buying committees.
Work closely with Business Development Directors to align on priority accounts, qualification criteria and handover quality.
Maintain excellent CRM hygiene and ensure accurate tracking of prospecting activity, qualification notes and pipeline progression.
Share learnings with Sales, Marketing and Revenue Operations to improve campaigns, conversion and outbound effectiveness.
Help define best practice for the US BDR motion, including outreach standards, messaging frameworks, qualification approach and reporting.
Act as a role model for future BDR hires by setting a high bar for activity, quality, curiosity and commercial discipline.
As the function grows, support recruitment, onboarding and development of new BDR team members.
Coach and support future hires by sharing proven approaches, reviewing outreach and helping them ramp successfully.
Contribute to a positive, ambitious and high-performance BDR culture in Boston.
Who are you?
We’re looking for someone who is:
A hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, coaching people and creating structure in a fast-paced environment.
Commercially sharp, with a strong understanding of outbound sales, pipeline generation and what great prospecting looks like.
Confident leading from the front, whether that means coaching calls, reviewing outreach, joining team sessions or helping shape account strategy.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage people, priorities, reporting and execution at the same time.
Data-driven, but people-focused — able to use performance insight to coach, motivate and improve outcomes.
A strong communicator who can build trust quickly with BDRs, sales leaders, marketing and senior stakeholders.
Curious about customer challenges and passionate about helping teams create meaningful conversations with prospects.
Comfortable operating in a high-growth environment where processes are evolving and there is room to build.
Motivated by growth: growing pipeline, growing people, growing a team and growing Attensi’s presence in North America.
Positive, proactive and resilient, with the energy to help establish a new team and set a high bar from day one.
Experience
3-5+ years’ experience in sales, business development, SDR/BDR or a similar commercial role, ideally within SaaS, technology or a high-growth B2B environment.
Previous experience managing, mentoring or coaching SDRs/BDRs, or clear evidence of leadership potential within a business development function.
Strong understanding of outbound prospecting, account-based outreach, qualification and pipeline creation.
Experience working with CRM systems and sales engagement tools.
Experience using data and reporting to improve team performance and conversion.
Experience hiring, onboarding or ramping new sales talent is a strong plus.
Comfortable working across international teams and adapting proven strategies to local markets.
Fluent English, written and spoken. Additional languages are a plus.
