👋 We are Attensi, a global company founded in Norway specialized in gamified simulation training. Since our inception in 2012, Attensi has grown to become a global leader in the field, with training solutions used by global brands in more than 150 countries and in 50 different languages.

We work with some of the largest professional services, consulting, hospitality, leisure, retail, and pharmaceutical brands in the world including Circle K, Starbucks, IHOP, Coca-Cola, Panera, PwC, and many more.

Attensi is growing at an exponential pace and we are now focused on growing our business in new markets. Our team now consists of more than 250 Game Changers across our HQ in Oslo, Norway and London and we have started building our team in Boston, with almost 30 people on the ground already. Here, we plan to establish a large team and a strong presence – SUPERFAST!

Due to the rapid growth and success of our Boston office, we are looking for a talented and creative Simulation Designer to work on our gamified-training development team.

This is an opportunity for a talented writer, designer and L&D professional to put their creativity and flair for the written word to good use. As a Simulation Designer, you will be the creative mastermind behind the learning journey and the learner’s experience for our customer projects. We believe that good stories make good games (and good training, too). Working with a variety of customers across sectors and game-formats, you will leverage your curiosity, creativity, and technical understanding to create learning experiences that engage users to help them achieve their learning objectives. In addition to existing customers you will partner with our commercial team to bring our solutions to life for prospective and existing customers in a variety of meeting formats.

We are looking for curious, open minded and creative people with a passion for making a difference and having an impact on people’s everyday lives. You will have experience with developing compelling training with a strong narrative focus, ideally including dialogues. You are also someone who is comfortable working in a setting where client interaction and research is part of the journey in creating the learning experience and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will have:

• Strong sense of and interest in pedagogical best practice

• Solid experience developing compelling narratives and dialogues

• Affinity for AI-driven technologies, including simulations and prompt-based tools

• Ability to work as part of a project team where timelines and customer management are an important part of creating the final product

• Ability to interpret client requirements and adapt style to match a projects tone, business requirements, and learning goals

• Comfort working with diverse stakeholder groups across functions and seniority

• Interest in working with commercial teams to bring our solutions to life for prospective customers in new customer dialogues

• Excellent English, both written and verbal

• Experience with or interest in game design is very much a plus!

What will you do?

The very first thing you will do once you join Attensi is to get to know our products, values and way of operating. We want you to get under the skin of our business and truly understand the mechanics and the magic of how we provide our customers with experiences they love, and help their employees develop new skills and behaviours.

Beyond that, on a day-to-day basis your role will largely revolve around activities such as:

• Create and write compelling natural dialogue for characters within a variety of business- and organizational settings

• Working in our custom-built platform to create design and create gamified training (no coding needed – just a creative vision and an open mind!)

• Work closely day-to-day with project managers, visual designers, and sales to understand customer training needs and their learning objectives

• Run workshops and interviews with customers to get under the skin of their needs and identify the right approach for their learning experience

• Join commercial teams in prospective customer meetings demo’ing existing solutions and creating custom proof-of-concepts to bring our solutions to life

• Take an active role in Attensi's development team

Our games are available across a variety of formats and platforms, including mobile, VR and PC, and you will use a broad range of creative and technical skills to create interactive narration in this role.
